Reincarnated Hero System

Chapter 850 - 850: Race Emperors

“The undisputed Strongest Kings or Queens of any race hold the title of Supreme.

Take the 72 Demon Kings for example. 70 of them are Race Rulers, and two are ‘Supreme’ Demon Kings—the de facto leaders of the 72.”

Future Alvey held the title of ‘Supreme Demon King’ before his death, a position he managed to transfer to his son, Ginaroad, despite Ginaroad not being a High-Tier Deity himself.

“Who are the Supreme Demon Kings?”

Evan had a guess, but he still asked anyway and Arthur was the one to reply to him this time.

“McEnda’s dad and some guy called Westley.”

Two familiar names to Evan. He’d seen their statues next to each other in the Hall of Statues, and they were at the forefront of all the others. Now, the reason was clear.

Normally, there is only one ‘Supreme’ King, but this generation was exceptional with two.

“Demon King Westley is most likely like Arthur, someone from ‘the Beyond’—outside the Universe.”

When Sigesi said this, Evan recalled that on Arthur’s status, there was a title that read Visitor from the Beyond.

“I see. What about Artemisia and Beatrix? When I appraised Artemisia, I saw ‘Daughter of the Benevolent god King’ in her list of titles.”

“That is correct. god King Uvton Delgasso. He is the one who holds the current ‘Supreme’ King title. Together with Beatrix’s mother, god Queen Rilene Xagna.”

It appeared the gods, too, had an anomaly in this generation with two Supreme Kings, whereas other races typically have just one.

Evan remembered the statue of Uvton he had seen in the Hall of Statues, and hearing Beatrix’s last name, he quickly figured that the statue of the woman right next to it must have been her mother’s.

“Rilene Xagna is a ‘Main Entity’ of the Pantheon. Simply put, she is responsible for overseeing two Major Aspects of the Universe—Time and Space.”

“Time and Space, you say?”

The mention of those two Aspects had Evan narrowing his eyes lightly as he recalled the circumstances that led to his forced time travel. Spatiotemporal Magic; such magic would be wielded by a goddess of Time and Space.

“What world is she from?”

“Prime World Aidos.”

He asked just to be sure and after Sigesi confirmed this, Evan’s brain began to theorize possible reasons why an Aidosian goddess would be on Gozon’s side.

‘I don’t have enough information…’

Evan decided to shelve this theory for now, pending further details about this goddess of Time and Space.

“Aidos is a big shot World, right? I mean, they have two Supremes which doesn’t seem to be common.”

“Yes. They are an Interstellar Hegemon comparable to Gozon in terms of territory and influence. It is ruled by a ‘Council of Kings’, much like our 72.”

As she spoke, Sigesi’s fingers traced patterns on the map before her. Her gaze shifted between the holographic projection from the magic projector she switched on earlier and the physical map she was working with

“What about the ‘Race Emperors’?”

Following the incident with Illusion Celestial Belphont in Zanclike City, Evan discovered that Kayla was one of the ‘Five Race Emperors.’ However, the identities of the other four Race Emperors and their respective races remained unknown to him.

“There are Five of them, originating from four races.”

Sigesi’s statement implied that one of these races had two Emperors, suggesting that this particular race was likely one of the most formidable in the Universe.

“The Demon Race has Emperor McEnda I and his wife, Empress Nephinae.”

“Oh?”

Evan was mildly surprised at the mention of the first name. He knew that the McEnda bloodline was renowned across generations, but he thought this was because McEnda II was a Demon King.

Never did he expect that the first of them was one of the Five Emperors.

“What other three Emperors are there?”

“god Emperor, Craig.

The name, ‘Craig’ made Evan chuckle a bit, but for a reason far removed from the current topic of conversation.

“That name reminds me of a certain spy movie actor.”

“The one with the double 0?”

Arthur asked, raising an eyebrow and Evan nodded in affirmation, a bit surprised to find that Arthur knew the movie he was talking about.

“Who’s next?”

“The ‘Deadly Sin of Pride’, Elven Emperor Falael.”

“Wait, it’s an elf?”

Evan asked this question reflexively, surprised to find that the ‘Deadly Sin’ was not a demon as he expected but an elf.

“I thought the whole ‘Deadly Sin’ stuff was a demon thing.”

“No, it’s not—!”

Sigesi’s words cut off midway and raised her head from her map, looking at Evan with wide eyes. Arthur also turned towards Evan with a mildly surprised expression, but Evan who was the target of their gazes was completely confused.

“…what? Why are you two looking at me like that?”

“Evan, there can only be one set of ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ in the entire Universe. So, unless the current one dies, a new one cannot emerge.”

Evan’s comment about the Deadly Sins being a demon-exclusive concept indirectly revealed that the Deadly Sins he knew in the future were from the demon race.

But since the old ones had to die for a new set to emerge, he had just inadvertently revealed that the Elven Emperor—who was the last of the current set—would die within the next 10,000 years.

“Oh…”

Evan let out a soft exhale, realizing the implications of what he had just disclosed. The room seemed to grow quieter, the weight of the revelation sinking in.

Clearly, he hadn’t known about this condition so Arthur and Sigesi couldn’t blame him. They could only carry on the conversation while keeping the information they had just discovered a secret.

“The last of the Race Emperors is the Spirit Empress, Kaylatheurge.”

This was one Evan already knew about so he didn’t have any particular reaction to this piece of information. He did react to what Sigesi said next though.

“All Five of them are from the Orithyia Galaxy, which makes us the No. 1 Galaxy in the Universe.”

“Oh wow.”

That was a bit of a surprise, but Evan didn’t know or care about other galaxies so he was only mildly surprised.

Right after that, Sigesi spoke as she began packing up the maps she had spread on the table.

“That should be enough about the Interstellar Stage. Let’s come down to Aramis where you would most likely remain until your time here is up.”

And so, Sigesi began explaining things about Planet Aramis, from the number of Continents to the current situation of the War and many other important things.

Their current location, Militopolis, was the HQ of the Demon Army in not just the South Eastern Region, but the whole of Gledea.

McEnda III governed the South West as Premier like Alvey did in the South East. The capital of that region was a military city named Torten.

Sigesi also explained the oceans of Aramis; The Umhiz Ocean lay between Gledea and Zefesh, while the Chatane Ocean stretched to Gledea’s west, separating it from Plomux and Guwos.

Regarding the Chatane Ocean, Sigesi revealed that it was an area both Aramisians and Gozonian demons didn’t dare tread.

These waters were home to a ‘Peak’ Transcendent Realm Existence, a powerful Sea Serpent known as ‘Yedrist of Chatane’ or simply ‘The Leviathan.’

Yedrist, despite being an Aramisian, did not side with them in the war against Gozon, and neither did he jump ships to the demon’s side.

He remained Neutral.

Records of Yedrist’s existence stretch back over 1000 years in Aramis’s history, predating even the current Divine Year Calendar system. His peers had long since either died or ascended to become Higher Existences, but Yedrist remained on Aramis.

His mere presence on the Chatane ocean was a barrier that prevented the Demon Navy from crossing to wage war on Plomux. They attempted it before, but he singlehandedly repelled them all with ease, and even defeated two Transcendent High Demons.

Since the ocean was his ‘Territory’ it was virtually impossible for beings above a certain level of power to enter without him knowing.

The Divine Human Transcendents of Aramis had attempted to negotiate with him to let them pass, but the Sea Serpent refused to listen to anything they said.

This wasn’t a surprise though, as before the Gozonians arrived, many nations had wanted to wage war on his oceans but the Sea Serpent did not permit them to even then.

He sent forth his servants to sink the ships of both sides and the two powerful nations lost their strongest combatants.

In essence, Yedrist’s presence was a double-edged sword for the Aramisians. While he protected them from the Gozonian Navy’s advances, he also kept them from using the ocean to their advantage.

“Wow, that’s a lot to take in,” Evan said, rubbing his temples. “I don’t even know where to start processing all this.”

“Just sleep on it. By the time you wake up, everything will start to make sense.”

Arthur replied as he set down his console to stretch his fingers, and Evan peeked over to see what game he was playing while responding back.

“I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work that way.”

He took in the sight of the racing game interface on the portable console, his eyes widening as he asked.

“Is this ‘Want for Speed’?!”

“No, that’s ‘Speed Needs’.”

Evan picked up the console and navigated through the interface and settings. To his surprise, despite the game having a different name, everything else was identical to the racing game he knew from Earth V.

“Alright, let’s end this here so the chapter doesn’t get too expensive.”

Arthur made the statement as he rose to his feet, prompting Evan to sigh and shake his head before standing up to leave as well. Sigesi, however, remained at the table, still engrossed in her work as the two of them headed out.
